The Democratic Presidential Nominee, VP Kamala Harris Lost Due to No Trust From the Democratic Voters

I once believed in the Democratic party until 2016. I once voted for Mitt Romney and then loved Obama. I look at the person and not the party. That was then, this is now. I now look at both the party and the presidential candidate. I, like a lot of democratic voters, wanted Bernie Sanders for the presidential candidacy in the 2016 presidential election. Instead, the DNC gave us Hillary Clinton. We most definitely didn’t want her, we wanted Sanders. We made that loud, clear, and known. They still didn’t want to listen to us. So, in 2020 they then gave us Joe Biden. We didn’t care for having him but we didn’t want Kamala Harris either so we voted for Joe Biden because of his term as Vice President (VP) under former President Obama. The democratic party got seriously lucky with the democratic voters that year. However, our trust within our own democratic party went shaky due to the untrustworthy actions in the 2016 Presidential run when they deliberately made Hillary Clinton our presidential candidate when we did not want her. When I voted in 2016, I did write in Bernie Sanders. I know he didn’t win due to our write ins but we didn’t want Hillary Clinton. I was nervous and scared when then President Trump had won. I will admit to that. I was angry, confused, and believed all of these lies that the DNC had told us.

Fast forward to the 2024 Presidential Election,

The DNC gave us Kamala Harris whom we did not want in the 2020 presidential election and we still did not want her now. If we didn’t want her in 2020, what made them think we did want her now? I will never know. The democratic party has got to change themselves from within or they will continue to lose voters and the third parties will finally start entering the chat. I stand by that. We have already ventured off into the third parties. We are especially angry for being called terrorists by the DNC when we support the Palestinian people and call for the end to the genocide of the Palestinian people. Did the democratic party seriously think we were going to vote for them after that? They have lost their minds.. Now, democratic voters are blaming us, the pro-Palestinian voters, for Kamala Harris losing and they are bragging about how they are now “going to go get their starbies” while Starbucks helps fund the genocide against the Palestinian people. It’s so hurtful and it makes me angry at how they can’t see why the democrats lost, why Harris didn’t win, and how they are now celebrating the genocide of the Palestinian people. THAT is why. We knew the democrats didn’t care about the Palestinian people. As for the Harris voters, y’all are no different wanting a transactional support for the Palestinian people. That’s not how activism works! Y’all claim to be the people of love, a girls girl, activists. Yet, y’all are going against the Palestinian people calling for Gaza to be obliterated, stating how y’all hope the Republican female voters get an ectopic pregnancy, and how y’all are shaving y’alls heads over rights we didn’t lose and aren’t going to lose. Have y’all not seen Afghanistan? Also, the Mahsa Amini movement involved shaving your heads as women to protest against the Iranian government and the Iranian police after how Mahsa Amini was tortured and murdered for not wearing her hijab. Afghanistani women cannot speak in public, cite the Qur’an in public, talk to each other, have to stop talking to their daughters once they marry and move away, have to remain low toned even at home, cannot leave their homes without a male escort, and so much more. It’s so hurtful when actual female rights are being seriously taken away from them and when they are tortured and then murdered for not abiding by the laws.

“We are going to lose our women’s rights”

No you are not, we had Trump for four years before and I didn’t lose any of my rights. Also, the states have control over abortion laws and so far, 7/10 states have voted back in those abortion rights. So, there’s a lot left up to the states and their voters. States are not going to be perfect as I live in Alabama and for so long, women couldn’t get IVF treatments due to the laws for embryos as patients and physicians could be prosecuted if an embryo did not survive. Embryos are now considered “humans” in the law of Alabama. However, we were finally able to pass a law that protects IVF patients and physicians. Also, is this seriously the only right y’all are terrified about? If so, then sit down. It’s up to the states now so go out and vote for what you believe in.

Trump wants to make IVF treatments 100% paid for by the government and/or the insurance companies. He wants to make it a free of service for women so he is going to make it to where we won’t have to pay out-of-pocket expenses for IVF treatments as they can be costly and insurances do refuse to pay for a lot of medical care as it is.

“What about Project 2025?”

What about it? It’s bad, I know that. However, even if Kamala Harris was President, there is still this thing called the Supreme Court. Also, Republicans refused to work well with former President Joe Biden, what makes you think Kamala Harris can do anything about things being passed should they go to Supreme Court? President Trump doesn’t have full control, neither would Kamala Harris. I may not be a 100% Trump supporter/voter but I know how the government system works. It doesn’t matter who is President majority of the time. There are so many states with ridiculous laws against women and this all happened under the Biden Administration. It just goes to show that whoever is President doesn’t matter much. The foreign policy and bills here and there do matter but not everything matters honestly. Especially when it comes to the Supreme Court passing and amending things.

“What does matter under the President then?”

The president can veto legislature, nominate Supreme Court Justices, is the Commander-In-Chief but must seek approval from Congress before going to war and/or leave war zones, etc.
